I view AI as posing huge potential for collecting, organizing, parsing and analyzing all types of data and document types: including those written in plain English.

This work stems from the following question: how can we compare quantitative information that may be expressed qualitatively? How can qualitative details shift both the embedding spaces that contain these data, and also potentially our decisions? 

And, perhaps most importantly, how can we leverage AI's ability of comparison for positive social and environmental outcomes?

Corporate Global Impact Reporting is as much of an art as a science. Each companies' sustainability disclosures will contain a fair amount of spin and angling to best position the business to investors and customers. Using AI to untangle facts from posturing in these reports represented work that I was curious to continue in my freetime, which is how SUE came about.
